Find Your Beach soul-searching, then internet searches
Corona beer’s slogan “Find Your Beach” is an ingenious invitation to get in touch with your bucket list passions and what brings you satisfaction and relaxation. It’s Find Your Beach soul-searching.
Even taken literally, the slogan speaks to me: As a Kansas boy, I never knew how much the beach would mean to me until I moved to the Southeast and fell in love with the South Carolina coast.
But for me, the figurative beach that Corona is talking about also happens to be a real one: Normandy.
It’s a huge presence in my psyche and heart, even though I’ve never been there. The World War II years, and the sacrifices my parents’ generation made at home and abroad to defeat tyranny on both sides of the globe, are all highly emotional for me. The music of the ‘40s and the movies about that era never fail to grab me where I live.
Yet, what have I done to visit Normandy, which is World War II’s Ground Zero in my mind? Not. One. Doggone. Thing. Making a living, raising a family and paying for the unexpected in life have all gotten in the way.
What’s it going to take for me to pursue this burning passion, one that was easily the first item on my bucket list?
I came to realize it’s going to take focus, discipline and attention paid to what’s important in life rather than all the fires you have to put out on a daily basis.
The first step to getting help is admitting you need it. I am doing that today. I am admitting I need help in making the dreams in my heart a priority in my head. I came to realize I need a template, a blueprint for how to actually get to the things that are most important to me (outside my family). I need a structure, a format, a form, a site that can act as both safe-deposit box and calendar for my dreams.
Like hiring a fitness trainer, I needed someone to get my dream life in shape.
BestEverBuzz has become the inspiration for me to get my arms around my aspirations – to help me write all these things down and not lose them at the bottom of a desk drawer or in a pile of papers or in the rush of everyday life. I’ve found it’s vital for me to remember how important these things were to me when I had a little time to think.
It can help you, too.
Let BestEverBuzz help you put your desires into action and turn your dreams into pure goal – to think them up, prioritize them, plan them, save for them and actually experience them.
It takes conscious, disciplined action to turn dreams into cherished memories. The best way to begin is to write them down and rank them.
Ask yourself: What’s the No. 1 item on your bucket list?
One big, beautiful blessing from finding your beach: Other inspired inklings tend to drift in with the tide. Corona, for instance, was inspired by its own slogan to embark on a mission to clean up 100 beaches and remove 1 million pounds of plastic by 2025. “Together with our partners at Oceanic Global, we’ve cleaned 47 beaches and removed over 735,613.61 lbs of plastic (that’s nearly 3x the weight of the Statue of Liberty!) and we’re just getting started,” the company says. “#ProtectOurBeaches.”
I created BestEverBuzz.com to throw fuel on such fires and help you get the best out of life. To help you find your beach.
The first step, of course, is to start looking.
